Hey there, each show seems to break new ground. DC was my 5 th show and it just rocked. Sailor St. was very strong. The best jam, for me, so far was in Let it Grow. Of the shows that I have seen (6/25,26. 7/12,13,15) this was the show that Karan and Kimock busted out. It was just incredible. It was great to see these guys just burst with energy and play. It feels great to be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant show from the boys!!! Shakedown was no surprise at this venue. I really enjoyed this show to the hilt--they were in incredible form start to finish. The jams were adventurous and tricky, full of quotes...I'd say I heard something of a Dark Star during the jam out of Saint--particularly out of Bruce and Dave--but Phil had a bomb to drop and wouldn't have it. Steve and the drums in the build up to the first verse of TOO reeked of Miracle...it was just there enough that the band seemed to entertain the idea. But its just as well, Deercreek's Other One was incredible--more intense and driving than Polaris...quite freaky and mysterious on the way out. Mickey played something on the synth that pleased many...it sounded like a diggery-doo. My friend seemed to fancy herself in Australia, dancing on a red mountain with halfnaked aborigines. A very tribal Drums. Bruce won me over twenty times over again with his short space solo. Phil and Bobby picked up on what he was playing, and after flirting with somethin between Norweigan Wood and Greensleaves...he graces us with The Way It Is. And oh how sweet it is. LET IT GROW was a monster jam, and the best surprise of the evening. The Latin beat was contagious, its no wonder Mickey pushed it over into UJB from Barbados--nearly broke my leg dancing to that one. Queen Jane was lovely and passionately sung by Bobby. The Mountains arrangement was sweet because of the moment for some silence in the hall. And Easy Answers....is no longer unbearbly cheesy. Its more like that phatty grilled cheese with tomato, garlic, and basil that I chomped on after the show..a pure delight. Thank you boys for the Sailor, it made the night for me personally, needed to hear it. And kudos to Steve and Mark, you guys blew me away with your heroics. It was sure and reined-in enough not to be riduculous and showy---the guitar work was mature, risky, and punching the envelope. I left quite satisfied and speechless. Its hard to find words when the talking was in my sore ass feet. THANK YOU! God bless you.

My first show this year...much, much more than I expected...a strange energy was abound...almost too much to handle Happy Trails to you and look for my friends Dave and Ryan in the big yellow rock in Denver

Well to start off I just want to say I think the boys are on fire. Sure there isn't that spaced out jamming that Jerry did on the fretboard, but you can't deny the fact that without him the music has to almost take on a different form. I think that root and hot tuna are great bands to have on the lineup root just gets you in that festival mood and tuna gets you warmed up for the boys. The opener was kind of a suprise to me but once I got past that initial wow I started shaking my bones and it was like heaven. I could tell by the time easy answers was over that this was gonna be something special. Lost sailor/saint was also a very welcome suprise. I was very pleased with the way they would transition from song to song. Queen jane was subtle in its ways very easy to break a sweat to. That baba jino tune isn't half bad itself. It really gives you a feel for the show. Phil was gorgeous on mountians and that new style for UJB is great . I was smilling on that cloudy day!!! I am just wondering if they will do it again next year? I mean where does the music stop? Hopefully it will be like the song and the MUSIC NEVER STOPS!! One ore thing all those beatiful faces are back on the lot but you have that yin yang thing to deal with so keep it clean and know where your roots are. I love you all and WELCOME HOME

What were they playing? Could anybody tell? Were they even in tune? A few numbers were okay, like Shakedown and The Other One, but sometimes they just sounded like a bunch of music school drop-outs throwing instruments off a roof. Hot Tuna was better. Maybe they need a conductor just someone who can kick ass. I hope they keep trying, but they better try harder. Or they should just release old tapes and screw playing live. Peace.

Deer Creek was our favorite of the 5 shows we saw (DC, E Rutherford, Nassau, Riverport). Easy Answers jammed nicely out of our first Shakedown. Lost Sailor > St of Circumstance was a nice treat too. Then things really took off with The Other One, appropriately enough!! The Way It Is was delightful....I was impressed with every Bruce tune the boys played in the shows we saw. But the killer highlight was the amazing segue into Uncle John's Band. Wow! A terrific version!

The Saint of Circumstance, "Rain Falling Down" jam lasted forever(10 minutes??). I thought it was going to go into the Other One then Bob let out a "Well I NeVER KNOW!" I also thought the Let it Grow sounded better than the one they played on 7/24.
