Reviews
Magnolia Mountain by Ryan Adams tells quite a story..."We burned the cotton fields down in the valley..." Would love to hear someone that was there review this show. Did anyone tape it?

This show was quite nice as they all have been in Mill Valley. Bobby forgot the first verse of Miracle but it got better from there. The Get Back sounded great with John singing like Paul McCartney. Greatest Story and Mason's had a lot of energy. I had not heard Magnolia Mountain before so can't really say but the Comes a time was beautiful, Bobby sang Masterpiece of course but Reuben and Cherise was all John. Very good show but the small venue makes it hard to compare to anything, a real treat. They started playing around 8pm and were done by 9:45pm.

Yes, Bobby forgot which verse to start with on Miracle, but Hey, at least he usually nails all 837 verses of desolation row, or Memphis Blues, so let's give him a break...:-) The Get Back was really nice, and reminded me to get back to where I once belonged....down front on the rail!!!! GSET rocked and was very dynamic. Mason's was a shared vocal, and sounded pretty vintage. Magnolia Mountain was a swayer and lead nicely in to the ....oh yes....COMES A TIME!!!!! bout time....:-) which JK sang very sweetly, and turned into a huge JAM!!! then back down gently to Earth...WOW!!! They decided to scratch Welcome to the Dance for a HUGE HUGE Unbroken Chain...with Phil counting off the jam into the bridge 1....2....3...4.....BRIDGE!!!! AWESOME!!! The really nailed this one both at the Masonic, and the Throck. Masterpiece was fuckin gorgeous...and complete with "dirty gondola/ land of coca cola" line!!!! Killer!!! Rubin was killin!!! Bomp Bomp Bomp B'dunna na..da na na na....dananna. Ship of Fools was a nice way to settle back into this time space contimuum, and then because there was time...a BIG BIG Lovelight, with the crowd (at Bobby's request) singing back at the band.....shine on me...shine on me/ turn on your lovelight..let it shine!!!!!! Thanks boys..and ladies. Let's all show how much we appreciate what we are gettin from these guys..and girls... I'm just so fuckin proud of this band!!!!! GO SEE EM!!!!!!!!!!
