The grand opening of this "stark" venue sure saw it's share of Deadheads and Mary Jane! I'm betting that this place will never quite be the same.

I had to chuckle when I saw some antique car with psychedlic symbols and each member of the Grateful Dead's face painted on the side, drive down the street in Broomfield. Certainly not something you see there.

The band came on with synergy and a "seasoned" quality, or in other words, "this band is tight". I overheard someone remark that this was by far the best "post-Jerry" band and I couldn't agree more.

Miracle set a smokin' tempo that seemed to last throughout the first set. Quite fun to move and dance to.

Looks Like Rain was "deep" and meaningful...Bobby really belted it out and "breathed" life into that one.

Estimated was "firey" and passionate. I've always loved the lyrics to that song and the prophetic vision of it all.

Terrapin Station was one of the most beautiful versions I had ever heard. A fellow next to me said, "Wow, this is like like Church"... ah, yes the lofty places that this music can take one. Jerry was "present" and somehow in the air. There's nothing quite like that song.

Being on the floor just a couple rows back, it was interesting to "take in" the spontaneous direction that occurs with the music. Phil had a sublime look on his face, Bobby was barefoot and moving freely and the back-up vocalists add a soulful presence.

The Wheel was cosmic, "timely" and it was evident that JK does seem to "channel" Jerry...what a guitar player; He makes it look easy..reaching all those notes, not to mention the physical resemblance with the man. Maybe it's his round cheeks and "gentle" smile.

Enjoyed watching Jay Lane play some kind of percussion instrument with a bow. My friend said, "That isn't Mickey Heart is it? If it is...he's sure taking some youth elixir!" Make me laugh.

Black Peter was great...Jeff can really slap those "ivories" like there's no tomorrow.

Sugar Magnolia was fun, lively and got the entire place cookin. At that point, I needed some fresh air and H20 but caught Revolution towards the back. Interesting how that song transcends time!

Nice venue. I like these smaller venues as opposed to last spring's arenas. Lot was cool, security relaxed.

I had no idea what to expect after seeing the set list from the previous show. The boys seemed to lay right into it from the very first note of Viola Lee. Everything sounded great. Best Terrapin I've heard since back in the day. Really dug the King Soloman, too. Black Peter is finally shaping up.

This was my first time seeing JK. I enjoyed immensely what he's bought to the table. I really don't think wer'e seeing what he's truly capable of, though. Seems like Phil and Bob have a short leash on him. I can't wait to hear him drive.

Drummers were full of energy but seemed to lack the depth and dimension that comes with Bill and Mickey. Keyboardist could be the best ever in any version of the Dead. Singers were cool. AWESOME SHOW!!!!

This band is so close to getting there. Like I said, there's that lack of depth without Bill and Mickey. Also, JK doesn't have Jerry's dynamics pegged quite yet -- you know -- the way you could hear a pin drop when Jerry would sing. His voice would come through the music. Alot of the vocals and that storyteller ambiance seems at this time secondary to the rest of the music. Can't wait to see what's to come. I know that wer'e all in for something special.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PHIL LOL

This is where I jump on the bus for the rest of the winter tour and to celebrate my 40th birthday along with Phil's 70th.

What a grate show. Many highlights but mine was Brown Eyed Women - wow was it good. Terrapin ended what seemed like the longest first set in memory, just incredible! Did anyone else feel like that Terrapin at times was right out of 1977? But nothing could beat opening up with Viola Lee and then holding out all the way until the second to last song to finish up the last verse. Brilliant!

I can't agree more...heading back into Viola Lee after Truckin was one of those special concert moments I'll always remember!! Just an amazing way to tie a ribbon on an incredible show! I've seen GD, several incarnations of DSO and other dead bands, and by far Furthur is capturing the spirit of the music in a unique and original way. Well done!

This ain't no farewell tour kinda thing, these guys are smok'in from start to finish. They have finally found the right guitarist to stand in for Jerry. JK has been perfecting the style for many years w/DSO. i got on the bus while Jerry was here(never got off) and when i close my eyes and cup my ears, listening to these guys, hes still here. The 2 Colorado shows were tight, harmonious , and lasting. I saw they played till 2am on Phils' Bday. Thanks for taking it Furthur boys, we're all enjoying the ride!
