INteresting start... I have seen 13+ of this lineup... I love Rochester, ny Old sytle set with newer also Traffic cover... The weather was great.. cops were great... seen was good... Vending was great... Show was ok.. better then not going...

What a way to start off the summer tour with NFA. I just didnt see it coming and it just got better and better as they went along. It was a pefect day and a great set list. Of course there where a few times everything didnt mesh together like it should be I dont think anyone really cared as long as the boys where right in front of them. Felling Alright and Strawberry Fields were kinda odd but awsome just the same. One of the highlights for me was in and out of Viola Lee Blues 3 times....heaven...There is nothing like seeing 5000 hippies jumping up and down to Bertha as the boys nail it on the head. Normaly I could pass on Death Dont Have No Mercy but Bobby put a little magic into it and rocked the shit out of it and I could truly say it was one of the best DDHNM Ive ever seen. All in all The show was for me a 10 out of 10 and its just gonna get better as we roll along...................................

hey now! im lovin this, that was everything i never expected looking forward to this tour 1st since last winter russo is a beast! keep all this on the down low people ,whatch out for them narcs in the parks, only one critique the lighting crew needs to step it up big time i know were keeping cost low but dude work with what you got, bobby was wearing the same clothes in brooklyn the next day, I miss candace of old, at these big outdoor deals. taper rob is deadhead of this tour so far his work on philzone is priceless thanx rob . peace, see yall

I THOUGHT IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST VENUES I HAVE EVER SEEN THE BOYS PLAY.I HAVE SEEN THE DEAD.RATDOG BOBBY AND THE MIDNIGHTS THE JERRY GARCIA BAND.LESH AND FRIENDS.THE OTHERONES YOU NAME IT IV BEEN THERE EAST COAST WEST COAST.THIS PLACE ROCKS.MAYBE THATS WHY THEY KICKED OFF THE TOUR THERE GREAT SHOW CANT WAIT TO SEE THEM IN BUFFALO SEE YOU THERE....

Great weather, venue better than I expected having never been to a show there before. Setlist threw some curveballs that made it fun and made the CD of the show worth it like Feelin' Alright, Cosmic Charlie, Attics of My Life, Strawberry Fields. Death Don't Have No Mercy had a little extra added to it and the Pink Floyd Time cover was amazing. Not Fade Away is great but bringing it back was a weak encore choice. Overall great show.

It was perfect, or as perfect as the boys can be. Opening with NFA was significant. The acoustics in that venue favor Furthur, and when I heard that ticking clock of Time's prelude, and then Phil dropping his bombs, WHOA Nellie.

1st off,w/ all due respect tooleedo,tooleedo, if you think that show was less than phenomenal, then let "your soul be a critic known".....This show was off the hook!!! David Gilmour would have been tested here.
So secondly do not forget to include Time in the above setlist.

Went expecting a start of tour show - solid, but unspectacular. Happily I got the unexpected - a really superb show! Energetic, tight, full of surprises and exploration. I must also respectfully disagree with tooleedoo; at this writing, 5 shows into the tour, this is the show.

This was one of the best shows yet. 200+ to my resume and it ranks top 5. Great selections, atmosphere, weather, people, and the band was smokin' tight! Looking forward to the castle tonight. See ya there!

Fun, fun, fun. I knew going in this show would be special being as it was opening night of Summer tour in Upstate New York. Show opened up with NFA, not my first choice, but how could I not love it??!! Right into a super jammy Here Comes Sunshine then a smokin' Stranger! Later in the set they covered "Feelin Alright", which was unexpected but turned out to be one of the shows highlights for me, they got into a very groovy jam after it.
The Viola Lee sandwich in the 2nd set was awesome. So much energy and power hearing them break back into Viola Lee after a nice Bertha and Cumberland. Then they covered Pink Floyds "Time", which was way out of left field, and nt exaclty what I go to Furthur shows to hear. But what can I say, they nailed it! Phil sings it with so much passion "And then one day you'll find ten years have got behind you.." So true Phil, so true! Then Attics of My Life to end the show, so bittersweet.
