Reviews
The show was awesome. Amazing. I feel like I lucked out because the band has really tightened up and just blew us away. I love how Bob played with the words in The Eleven. "This is the Season of 'What Now.'" Isn't it just? :) Thanks for posting the set list! Only bad part was the LINE to pick up the disc set that was available right after the show (wow!) where we were corralled in the tight corridor by the restrooms. Other than that I am a happy happy girl.

The Band played 2 new songs and 2 covers--way too many for my taste with their great catalogue to choose from. Also, the piano and drums were miked too high, and some vocals suffered. But the guys rallied with the Help On the Way, Slipknot, Franklin's Tower trilogy, so all is right in Deadland. John K. is getting better and might even drive the jams sometime soon(come on JK, you can do it!), but Phil is feeling good and shows it and Bobby is getting even better as an accent player and sometimes lead. Bottom line--go with the tried and true, and jam on.

awesome show, so tight. for me the song selection was eh, but another one of those shows where it did not matter. inside the venue and sound were great !! worst parking lot seen for a dead related show i have seen in 22 years.

This was my first show back on tour. After seeing a few Dead '09 shows (Denver, L.A., Shoreline) it finally felt "Grateful" again. The music and the scene finally came together for me again as it did to prior to '95.
So when I saw this current lineup (let's hope this one stays together permanently) blow the roof off of Broomfield on 3/5 and 3/6 I knew the time was right for me to really get back on the bus. Then came the wonderful shows and atmosphere at the Furthur Festival and after that I knew I would be traveling to see the boys again.
So back to where I started this review. :) This show was the first of a run where I did 10 of 11 shows (only missing MN.) from S.B. all the way through Chicago. Not one of the shows was a let down and not one was weak musically or vocally. Sure some nights are better than others but for the most part the set lists are the only question mark because IMHO the quality of play is there every night.
This night was especially tight and the night started well for me as Bill Walton came and sat right next to us (I have a bad back and was in ADA seating).
After talking with him a bit before the show (and telling him how much I wanted to hear Days Between) the hug I got from this enormous man when the first notes were played was amazing. As for the new songs I couldn't be happier hearing them. Money For Gasoline (along with Ashes and Glass) is a great tune and I'm glad the boys kept it from the Ratdog catalogue. In addition the new Hunter songs have already taken hold of me. For the first time since Jerry died I'm looking forward to new songs as much as anything else. As for this night the Seven Hills (good new tune though Mtn. Song, Big Bad Blues, and Muli Guli are probably my faves) was well played, the Comes A Time (along with the afore mentioned Days Between) was heart melting, and the double encore was fantastic with a beautiful rendition of Attics. As I look back now that this tour is completed this show was very very good and shouldn't be overlooked. I'd recommend giving it a listen and I'd REALLY recommend those of you that aren't touring and therefore aren't looking forward to the new songs give them a chance as well. They're all great in their own ways and Mountain Song (Crosby, Garcia, Hunter, P. Lesh, B. Lesh written over 40 yrs!!) is simply fantastic. Just my .02.
