By Far the most exciting, energetic Show I have EVER seen at Red Rocks. I've been spoiled growing up and having Red Rocks in my back yard and have seen many great shows at the Rocks but this one was special, the boys where on Fire Saturday night. Phil is just amazing and Bobby was perfect, He got his voice back and didn't stumble on a single verse. And the 2nd Set John finally got out of the box and blew the crowd away with his "Stella Blue" it was magical....
If you were lucky enough to get to this show or any others on this weekend you were lucky, Some of the best tunes and people i've had the pleasure of being around in a long, long time...
If you didn't make the show make sure you hear it, your mind will melt and you'll find your self with a Rocky Mnt. High and Full Moon looking down upon you...
Thanks Guys for a great evening,

What a great show!!! Had the time of my life! Made the trip out from the Philadelphia area. I caught the Friday and Saturday night show. Met some great people and danced my ass off. Saturday night was my 9th Furthur show and by far the best one yet. These guys just keep getting better and better! It keeps me grinning from ear to ear! Best post Jerry lineup since 95! The magic is back in the air!!! Keep the mother rollin'!!!

Holy Smokes!!! What a great show!!!
The opening Help was fantastic!! Slip! was great, however, I wish they would have drawn it out a bit longer.(Phil dominated this one!!)...it seemed that right when we were going to leave the hillside, they were brining it back down...into a solid Frank's....they kept the energy raging with a smokin' Alabama then right into a rockin' and fun Sittin' On Top......High On A Mountain-was a great addition in the next slot, with lots of energy...this one is quickly becoming an entity of it's own (after what?..like 3 live performaces...wow!)........this bled away into that familiar chord full of tension!!! Yippee!! a killer Viola, only to dissolve into a smokin' late set Bertha (totally rocking, and built energy from energy)...back into Viola v.2...and into a fun foot stomping rendition of Cumberland.(Chimenti tore this one up!!)...just when I thought the energy couldn't get any higher in the first set....Cumberland just exploded at the end to lead to the final electric verse of Viola to close the set!!! This first set was the best I have seen live in many years....and I have been to MANY shows!!!!
Second set, my wife was worried that they blew their load in the first set....this was quickly put to rest, when they opened with the sister Mountain song, which had great energy and lots of direction (again for being such a young tune, I was more than impressed).....the I know you rider that followed was a fun "sing along" here in the Rockies, people really love the mention of their fair state!!....the Terrapin Suite that followed was beautiful, powerful, gentle, and dark....all at the same time, just like it should be.....(Russo is an animal!!)....this segued into a great Eleven (Bobby really does do this one justice!!).....Phil then decided to drive in a high energy. beautiful Unbroken, that had really nice interplay between all members!!....then....yup, I heard it...here we go.....finishing the Dark Star they began in Vegas.....my only objuection here would be, it was very condensed and straight forward...(my wife pretty happy the show was not going to turn entirely "spacy" and "exploratory"...she loves the "rockers!!")...The opening notes of Stella sure put a smile and my face for was what to come, and they did not disappoint (John tore it up!!! All involved would be proud and impressed)......A Rockin' Other One to close the show, would have been the LAST tune I would have called for a closer, but summed up the evening perfectly!!!!
In all it was a GREAT time, GREAT music, GREAT evergy, and in my opinion the SHOW of the RUN, if not the TOUR!!!
We LOVE you here in COLORADO boys.....don't be strangers....see you soon!!

Now that this download has floated into my soundscape, it was sweet to capture the Terrapin Trail that has made but yet another journey to the great beauty of the midwest..... A frontier I've hoped to experience, but always seems to evade me.
WOW!! What a set list......in the end there's still that Song......and, as Bill G. would say about the MUSic,
"It's All about the Dance!"
What a year for the Magical Mystery Tour.......Two of the most life-changing moments in my tour experience recollection, JFK-Independence show '89, with its Scarlet-Fire ride into the epic SOTM, where the stadium press box sign read, "FEED the WORLD". Then the Hampton Starship-Return of the Warlocks '89, with my 1st Help>Slip and Dark Star, have all now been released from the Vault. My personal rare jewel highlight was Hey Jude, which was the first song I ever learned to play on the piano at the age of 8 while visiting my Norwegian family and seeing my first snowfall. To this date, it is the only live performance of this classic I was most fortunate enough......"and when you hear that Song", to have lived in and felt. I hope the next generation can behold these treasures and be inspired beyond.......
To round out that most memorable ride of a year was Euro '90, from the land of the Ice Bue Rose to Berlin's reunification and ending in this sacred anniversary of All Hallow's Eve, with Jerry howlin' Werewolves IN London!
It All rolls into ONE ~ It is as if all the stars have lined up to where Corrina learns Campbell, Krippner and Krishnamurti......winding into Viva' Las Vegas under a Picasso Moon!
So, on this night of Witches & Warlocks creating Wishcraft, in a land where Giants rule and the night of the Living DEAD still reigns, along with the Saints comin' through......seeking all that is Unsung, beyond All words and meaning.....May the Quest of the Golden Road deliver us Home, to the place beside the Risin' Tide ~ of only Sound & Vibration.................
only to discover Furthur Soul Satisfaction*
