Three, beautiful Indian Summer days on "higher ground" at Red Rocks! Wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else in the world! Friday night's highlights were Scarlet Begonias & Deep Elem Blues w/ Jeff Chimenti slappin' those ivories.
Ashes and Glass is one of my Ratdog favorites (love singin' this one to my 4-yr-old daughter), and Fire on the Mtn was timely (sat by a poor fellow who lost his home to the 4 Mile Canyon Fire).
Saturday's show felt like a smokin' train ride thru the mountains, gathering speed...loved the ol' west feel with Cumberland Blues, Mountain Song, Casey Jones, & I Know U Rider...complete with an emerald stop thru Terrapin Station! Couldn't help but dance to Stevie Wonder during the intermission. Loved that! The One More Sat Night ending was electrifying! Could have kept dancing.
Loved the early show on Sunday. Saw alot of families and it was nice to sit higher up and enjoy the view. Highlights were the newly added RH's Colors of the Rain, Throwing Stones (what a timely piece) and 2 Dijin, also another Ratdog favorite. Railroad Blues was hot!
I loved their version of Magnolia Mountain and it was nice to hear it up in the hills there! Red Rocks is a Colorado jewel and I felt lucky to have been able to share such a special place with everyone. A little piece of heaven!
Thanks to the band for sharing the music. There's nothing else like it. Miss you, please come back!

Can I love John anymoe then I thought possible, YES! I can't believe how much the band has grown since the FOX.
I think Bob & Phil never knew they could have this much fun in a post dead band. The music is so stellar & every player is in top form. Red Rocks is not for the meek. No fat hippies at these shows. Sunday they shut the bathrooms down & set break for some technical reason, WOW no where to go for 9000 folks, not the best thing. The music is inspiring & the new music is fun, ONCE again the days between let the air out of the bag in the second set, I don't hate the song but it is so sad & it reminds me of Jerry & his demise. They could have played crazyfingers, which they hadn't all tour & would have been a good fit for the set & taken us to the place they wanted. LOVE FURTHUR & THIS BAND!!!!

Shut down the bathrooms?? What?? Where the heck were you sitting?
This weekend was about as much fun as a human being could possibly have. Saturday was extra special for me because I had the pleasure of meeting Phil and hanging out behind the stage ... a dream come true. I'd say Furthur is on the top of their game right now and firing on all cylinders. I can only hope they keep this magic going.

I had the pleasure of seeing Ratdog and the Allman Bros @ Red Rocks, 1st time @ venue and I am really surprised that all the fans got a shot a 3 nights in one of the best venues in the US and we only got 3 reviews, Shame, Great job by the 3 that took the time to share though and I only did not go cause I promised my wife I would stop traveling for shows 3 times a year because of the economy after I saw Furthur @ Coney Island NY, which where completly hot shows, so missing this Trifecta and Santa Barbara and the Greek was a rough stretch for me and I hope all enjoyed what from the set lists I saw was some wonderful music!!!

I could not agree more with Denver Man. 1st time at Red Rocks...multiple multiple Dead, Dead related,Ratdogs, and Furthurs. This was it!!!! At one point, I could not believe it was possible to feel such intense joy. Saturday night was my favorite, but it all rocked. Didn't have any bathroom issues down front, and Bobby did a great job on the Days Between. Takes a few days to get back to it to check in for a review...
Peace to all....see you in Baltimore!!!

My oh my, what a fantastic set of shows. Beautiful weather, wonderful vibes. Best family, magical music. It was everything it could have possibly been and more. I was in a place of awe for all 3 shows. First time at the rocks and I can't wait to go back. I have saw so many shows since 92, and there is no place in the world to see a show like that. I only wish I could have caught a GD show there back in the day. I missed Rhythm Devils, sure would of been nice to rumble the mountain side. The moon, Wow!! Mountains of the Moon was stellar. Loved it all. Thanks everyone, its not just the band, you get what you give. Keep on passing on the kind vibes and the music just feeds off of it. That was some good stuff, still riding high on Wednesday at midnight when I should be getting sleep for my "normal" life. Well worth everything.
