Reviews
This night seemed like it had a lot of ups and downs. The band would get into the middle of something hot (Stephen-Eleven-Truckin), and then they would come right down (New Potato Caboose). For most part I enjoyed the songs that were played, I just would have maybe rearranged the order in which they were performed.
There were also some typical mistakes made. However, I know this is bound to happen. I am glad that these guys are still touring and am grateful that they played so close to home. It wasn't much of a drive for me and there is nowhere else I would have rather been than in STL on a Thursday night.
Furthur can really smoke sometimes. And others they just are not. Remember that the Dead also had mediocre shows. I guess my main issue is that I was at 3-3 in Chicago, so every show I've been to since just can't compete. I am super pumped for tonight's show in Chicago (11-13) I think it will be a rager!!!

FANTASTIC SHOW!
Hard to pick a downer. UJB>Cassidy was very well executed. The vocalson both were top notch. JK did a nice job on the Ryan Adams tune. Cumberland was fierce. High on a Mountain is a lovely tune and the transition into Here Comes Sunshine was note perfect. JK killed So Many Roads and Weir had entirely too much fun rocking out the Next Time You See Me. Pig was smiling somewhere!
Long set break.
Any Road opener was money. Why has this not been played before? Such a natural for this band. Wheel was good. Eyes was GREAT. Love the way that Phil sings shis tune. St. Stephen was fierce and Eleven on 11/11 was predictable but tons of fun. Truckin' was once again very well played and had the whole place dancing. New Potato Caboose is the other song that I love to hear Phil sing and it was fantastic. The highlight of the night (for me) was JK singing and playing guitar on Stella Blue!!! Awesome. JK had the venue in the palm of his hand. Every time that he stepped tot he mic and sang those two words..."stella blue" the venue roared. Goosebump inducing. Let It Grow was great. I was impressed with Weir's vocals on this song and the jamming was excellent. The acapella Attics brought tears to many an eye and was a great way to send us out into the night.
It was a treat to have attended this show. I am not sure if it will ever be this good again.
