Wow!! Great, great show. Phil's voice really sounded strong. 70? You've got to be kidding me. Fun to see him start the show. First set was cover-heavy, but Dear Prodence had John and George smiling from on high. Phenominal. The way that song should sound. Alligator was great. Viola>Dark Star>Shakedown??...so good. Love the way they arranged Viola....really cool how it wove in and out of the second set. Lots of spacey jams...many spontaneous moments...who could ask for more? These guys are well-oiled and a great team. Sunshine and Jeff P add a beautiful layer. Box of Rain and Ripple to close.....so, so freaking good.
How will they be able to top this Sat night? Ha! Well, they did it last tour. Can't wait!!!
Bobby and Phil. Thank you.

Good show... Vending scene was very cool... No problems with cops... Great Venue... The show was good.. Highlight Shakedown... the boys are playing well. Its a good Band. One request if anyone from the band reads these posting.... If John K turns himself up.. DONT turn it DOWN... You never would do that to Jerry... Let him spread his wings....

completely argree. I want to add I thought JK really shone during the outro of Alligator and Bobby really nailed Hard to Handle. That first set alone is just great. Throw backs woven in there as well. Super cool lists.
Thanks indeed

I agree - GREAT SHOW. Phil brought us back to a 7/09/05 Soldier Field encore of Box of Rain, which was surprising then, as a two-encore was rare then, and rare now - Ripple is one of my all-time fav's...Whew !!! Still hoping for my first Desolation Row, never done in Chicago yet ???
It's such a thrill to be able to experience this band, still doing it and lovin' it for the fans - Shakedown Street was solid, a 7/09/05 - 2nd set opener for their last GD show...we'll always remember that night !!! Let's go back to Soldier Field in 2011 Bob and Phil, as the post-show fireworks need a return...Happy Holidays to all...

"sleeply alligator in the noon day sun..." SO GREAT. This is by far the best one to date with a killer Hard to handle, Shake your tailfeather. "Creepy allitgator..." John is so fantastic, I try not to love it so much, but It just floors me & it get's me off. He is such a great player. I think it can't get better & there they do it again. John's tonal quality is clean & jamming. Sock it to me! Sock it to me!. The band is speaking as one, I haven't had this much fun on tour in 20 years. SO great to hear all this old music they never played but for only a few years if at all. It seems fun & new to the boys as well. Chicago smoked us!!!! I LOVE FURTHUR, there I said it neumanfish

This show as well as the rnight after are awesome. Really well played. Extremely tight. Not mentioned yet, check out the Box of Rain from this show. It's a little different from every other version out there. Really awesome!
