First set was outstanding. All songs very well played. So glad they have returned birdsong to a single spot on the set list. Love the song not a big fan of the reprise. Lovelight into Casey Jones was as cranked as you can get. Second set was a little sleepy and seemed a little short. Everything was well played but no sustained energy. Thought they might save their best for NYC and from the looks of the set list this proved to be the case. All in all, old friends, one great set, and a scarlet fire - ripple closing is a pretty fine night.

Good show, loved Hard Rain and Scarlet/Fire. Was a little disappointed in 4 repeats from last winter's show in Amherst (Althea, Brown Eyed Women, Speedway, and Casey Jones) and the 2nd set felt slow. Nobody Girl and China Doll back to back was a little much, and then speedway even felt slowed down before mountains/moon... at least they sent us out on a good note. As always, the worcester lines were a struggle but at least the company's friendly. Woulda liked to have gotten down for NYC... next time.

As a somewhat experienced Deadhead, and nascent Furthur freak, I'm amazed at Furthur's energy-sustaining spirit and the younger people supplying new blood to the Dead legacy.
I found the show to be phenomenal in its deep-rooted range (Cream Puff War, Golden Road), splendid blend of rockers (Lovelight, Casey Jones) and ethereal delights (Brown-Eyed Woman, New Speedway Boogie, Scarlet Begonias). One gripe: A one-song encore leaves one wanting for more at the end of a stellar show. But there was sublime pacing throughout; the "Rio Grande" a cappella segue off "Mississippi Half-Step'' was a special treat. Furthur's choice of covers "Midnight Hour" and "Hard Rain" was exceptional, especially the latter, what with Mr. Zimmerman playing up the road in Amherst on that night.

I really enjoy seeing furthur!!! It really means so much for me to be able to experience Bob and Phil and friends just create that which they do on stage and in my body. Being 21 and unable to see the Grateful Dead with Jerry, it makes me that much more appreciative of the music I have the priviledge of being part of. After the Dead show at the DCU on Apr 19 09 I was excited to be back in worcester for another round. Once the music started I did not stop dancing until althea began. The backdrop was so vibrant. I can only imagine how her amps must have come out in the 70s. And then the power behind BE Woman Lovelight and Casey was unreal!! I felt the entire second set was amazing as well. The variety was full of wonderful lyrical and instrumental high points, just as the 1st set provided. It left me with moments of time I will never forget. And I felt priviledged to hear another scarlet Fire inside the DCU.
Also I must note that my cab driver to the hotel was super cool. He chose to work and missed out on the show, but had soo much to share. He saw them in 69 at Atwood on Clark U in Worcester. The 19th/20th show(the date appears to be questioned). I looked up the show and noticed two similarities in sets. Lovelight as well as Mountains of the Moon was played.
If there is anything I could hope for at a future furthur show I attend, its only to be there to hear Cumberland Candyman or Brokedown specifically, however remember to leave my wants at the door so they can jam to the fullest. Until next time Thanks!!
