Great Show, 4 out of 5 stars. The boys had alot of energy, nice setlist, some weird transitions but the show flowed well. Venue was decent and security wasn't to bad.

So many Roads was well played and sung beautifully by John. Earlier in the day I paid respects to an old friend who passed away, and I couldent help but think about her during that song. lots of emotion and it was something appropriate at that moment. rest in peace barb!
I remember in 89 how Brent's B3 organ playing lifted us off our feet at the old civic arena during good lovin. although jeff didnt quite crush the organ as brent did, it was a neat show closer. I dont know if i will have the opportunity to see the dead again so Brokedown palace was a nice closer. Listen to the river sing sweet songs and rock my soul. Indeed.

Woops, somehow the end of my review ended up first, so let me start again. The pre show party was fabu as i ran into alot of old friends and met new ones. we talked about past dead shows and how hard it would be to see 3 nights in a row. LOL. I know I couldent today, but hey, i will tkae what i can get. Loved Stanger, Pride, Till the morning comes, althea and Masons. the band was tight and they must reherse alot. Wasnt crazy about loose lucy as it seemed a bit sloppy but what the hell. descent first set. Let me say right now that Joe Russo is one bad ass drummer. what a talent! i was surprised by the estimated opener and it was well played with an awkward intro into eyes. jeff played some great piano licks as he and jk traded some nice chops. Rider is always good to hear and the beatles tunes were very cool and they did a great job with those songs, making them their own for the everning. intense. a good wheel was mixed in there as well with good back up vocals by jeff and sunshine.
