I listened to this streaming and really enjoyed it. The first set may look disjointed but it works.
The second set is above and beyond especially to get such a prime setlist and Uncle John's as an encore !
I made it to Red Rocks in 85 and I was hooked from then on.
If I was going to turn someone on to Furthur this would be a good recording to play them.
I hope someone who was at this show writes in...

Was there all three nights and this was my favorite because of the set list. Uncle John's may be my favorite encore. It was the windiest/coldest night. Dancing was the only way to ensure warmth :)

The vibe started out a little weirder than Friday but it smoothed out by mid first set. Met a beautiful toddler named Stella at her first show and her parents and their friends were super kind. She was intimidated at first but soon dancing and clapping along. It was a cool experience because I was there with my parents who took me to my first show as a child.

Music: Over the course of the weekend I caught 13 tunes I haven't seen Furthur perform yet in over 20 shows, so that was neat. In this show in particular my highlights were being at both performed "Mexicali Blues"'s, the "Peaceful Valley" was really powerful and the "Gimme Some Lovin" was the best version they've done. The segue into "Around & Around" was flawless.

In set two - I enjoyed the "Eclipse," but "Mountains of the Moon" is Phil's best GD tune he has taken over in my opinion and this version was outstanding. Unfortunately, Bobby slopped the end of St. Stephen - but it's still musically a nice one. "Eleven>Caution>Mtn Song" was really cool. The wind died down for this trio and the sound was crystal clear for the whole amphitheater. "Playin" didn't have a first verse this time (oops again...) but "Morning Dew" rocked as usual. JK really nails it. And when I finally think JK gets to end a second set, and they'll end it in throw back fashion just once, they bust out the Reprise. Always keeping me on my toes. There were three sandwiches in there!!!

Fun times, gorgeous place and friendly people. Nice run for my first Red Rocks experience.
