Thought the band sounded and looked great. The first set was down right sizzeling from the start. The Cumberland Promised to end the first set was the highlight for me.
While the 2nd set was a bit slower and lacked the fire that the first set brought, I thought all in all the songs were well played.
First time seeing the band do Time which was the highlight of the 2nd set IMO.
Can"t wait to see these guys again! Lots of FUN

def a tuesday night show... more of a slower, thicker, chunkier sounding set... churchlike soulful vibe - hints of blues gospel n folk w the setlist. many highlights, few fumbles - but in normal grateful dead taste.
highlights include fotd, west la fadeaway and cumberland in the first set - the 2nd set had a smokin caution, one of the better ive seen with this band. phil was droppin open note bombs on the base all night!!! jk also seems to have a spring in his step this tour!!!

There was something about an asteroid passing between the earth and moon a half hour before the show....One had to wonder, "What if it was to be all over now?"
If this was the END, then what better a finish?
or, I cannot think of a place or people I would rather BE with!
Met a lot of great new people amongst the fall colorful ride, including the guy in the beer line who spent three weeks in Europe while I was there too, but now we're just meeting for the first time - more than 20 years later.....Enjoyed a new dance relationship with the front row fence....You never know what an hour might bring you amidst the MAGIC of MUSE-IC?!?
It has been interesting to me that there has been no commentary thus far on the newest development --
Phil changing sides!! and JK taking over left field on stage. This is a real throw back to another era of DEAD history that was very refreshing to see again. Sunshine and Jeff shifting left as well, along with Jeff C. being brought more fully into the circle really brought it together It was a really wonderful experience in witnessing the new togetherness and interaction level. Phil is ALL about the FUN. Bobby is ALL about the serious reason we are all here together. Sunshine and Jeff are keeping it Sweet. JK and Jeff C. are finding the new paths of flight, and, over all of it RUSSO ROCKS the Rhythm!
The END theme rang rather True throughout the show......
Needing a Miracle,
West LA Fadeaway into a fractured China Doll,
Wharf Rat flying away into Nothing left to do but Smile, Smile, Smile ~ until they SYF! ......One way or another, this darkness got to END.
The highlight of all ~ CAUTION/TIME
The race toward an early grave,
but there is No Mercy with Death ever ...........
and hopefully, we will NFA when it's ALL Over Now ~
Baby Blue!
All in All, it was a rather bipolar show of quality highs and quality lows and lots of covers. One minute your Celebrating, then the next you're a Wharf Rat who's Gone.
I have to agree with Ed on the Mt. Top show spots of Cumberland Blues, and finally reaching the Promised Land!
When it all comes down to it, After Midnite had the best groove of the nearly full moon nite.....That's where I will cast my ballot for, in making it to the Other side.....
As we are but Castaway, all that really ever matters is to Breathe*
stay balanced on the biggest Wave.....
For long you live, and high you FLY!
and remember, PIG always had the score.......Do not miss out, when.......
All you NEED ~ is just a _ _ _ _ _*
