Reviews
The last Further show I saw was the musical blitz at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre, easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. Thus, my expectations were super-high for a continuation of that mojo. After a chilly Shakedown, and very mellow parking lot and pre-show scene inside, music was underway with a respectable Sugar Mag. Highlights of the first set were Deep Elem, Ashes and Glass and Cassidy. Some more obscure tunes might have satisfied some in the house, but I think the crowd was somewhat disconnected from the proceedings for a bit. While I didn't love the first set list call, I have to say the musicianship was tremendous...first rate jamming, subtle nuances around key changes, and lots of interplay among the players. All combined to make for an enjoyable package. Second set opener Playin' was great. I loved the move into Dear Mr. Fantasy-->Dark Star...super sweet. Mountains of the Moon continued the trip to obscure tunes. A run into St. Stephen brought us back into mainstream then a totally unexpected Shakedown! Wow! That really livened things up from our mellow night. Wharf Rat slowed the ship down, then a fine Playin' reprise to round out the evening. Overall, another fantastic Furthur experience. See them while they still bring the bus to your town, because when they're done playing you'll wonder if they were ever here at all. Shout outs to Chad who came a long way to see some fine music and the kind people behind me with their generous offers during the second set opener...

Fun show and i liked it better than Madison.
Agree with Kotter on his review.
First Set: Nice Sugar Mag opener. Kinda slowed down until Deep Elem. Any road, Ashes and glass, Ryan Adams tune. and pride were enjoyable but slightly ho-hum. DeepElem to SSDD brought the energy back. Enjoyable and highlight was Deep Elem.
2nd Set: Well jammed and my kinda set that i prefer. Love DS, but just ok tonight. Short eleven. Really nice St Stephen and Shakedown.
Solid show. I do think the backing vocalists are too loud, tho.

Well, the last shows I saw were the UIC and they had some great moment. The 3/3/10 Aud show was one of the best the band ever played, look how many times it has been downloaded on the Archive.
Rosemont 1988 was my first show and this Furthur show was like a time machine Sug Mag and SSDD in the first set!! I also like deep elm and cassidy too.
Se II is the reason why I love this band - improved transitions between songs and excellent playing. Phil rules. Playin, DARK STAR - amazing, st.stephen The moons was a first for me and the jammed it out, right into one of the best Wharf Rat's I have ever heard and then, wham - back into a playin. Liberty was not a good coice for the encore, but set II was worth the trip.
